Currently, Xiaomi India is promoting the launch of a new device branded with a ‘T’, which will be released in the country shortly. A report suggests that this teaser refers to the Xiaomi 17T. However, it is expected that only one model from this series will be launched in India, while the other one may be kept for international markets. In a post on X, the tech company has hinted at the arrival of this new ‘T’ device, using the tagline “The T is coming. ” Still, Xiaomi India has not disclosed the name of the new product or any other specific information about it. In the meantime, a report from 91mobiles suggests that the teaser relates to the new Xiaomi 17T. This report also indicates that the company will unveil only the standard version in India, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro will not be made available there. This follows the company’s announcement that the Xiaomi 17T series will launch in selected global markets on May 28, promoting it as the company’s “largest upgrade in the T Series so far.” Additionally, Xiaomi has showcased the design of the rear camera module for the Xiaomi 17T series. The lineup will feature a triple rear camera system tuned by Leica and an LED flash, all situated in a square camera island. Meanwhile, a tipster has recently published what seem to be official images of the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, showing that both devices have a similar design. The two smartphones might have a straightforward rear panel with a square camera module. There are also expectations that a power button and volume controls will be located on the right side of the phones, while the left side could have an unknown button. Reports suggest that both the Xiaomi 17T Pro and Xiaomi 17T will feature a telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom. It is said that the Pro version will be supported by a 7,000mAh battery, while the standard version is anticipated to come with a 6,500mAh battery. The Xiaomi 17T Pro might include a 6.83-inch display that can reach up to a 144Hz refresh rate. In contrast, the standard model is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset.
