Powerful winds, heavy rain, power cut, delayed flights, all have trapped Bay Area. Residents are facing power cut and delayed flights due to bad weather condition.
According to meteorological department, which has experienced more than 8 inches in the Tamalpais area of Marin County that was most of the rainfall of the region. San Francisco measured 2.5 inches of rain and 3 inches in Oakland. Some areas of Peninsula have noticed more than 5 inches, since Sunday. On the other hand, only 0.75 has fallen in The South Bay area.
An airport spokesman said that, around 20 flights flights from San Francisco International Airport have cancelled by early Tuesday morning. There were around 13 arrivals and seven departures. On an average, there is around 57 minute delay throughout the day, he added.
Besides this, several trees has downed due to heavy rain and gusty winds and around thousands of houses lost their electricity connection. A huge tree on the Park Street in Alameda and two Eucalyptus trees has fallen down into a horse stable in which a horse was killed.
According to the weather forecast, current storms will expectedly move out from the region and the residents of the Bay Area will get a relief from the downpour.
