An elementary school in Woodside evacuated its campus due to a gun scare on Saturday. Later it turned out to be pellet guns that the teens were holding.

San Mateo County sheriff officials responded to an emergency in Woodside Elementary School at 3195 Woodside Road.

The officials got a call around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday that two people, who were dressed in camouflage, wielding rifles and a machete were in the school campus.

At that time the school campus had over 100 students and parents, who were safely evacuated, according to sheriff’s officials.

The teens were quickly taken into custody by deputies. They were detained and questioned by deputies, which revealed that the teens were carrying pellet guns. After which they were handed over to their parents.
