India and Denmark to strengthen Green Strategic Partnership

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is touring in Europe and is spending a busy time. India and Denmark decided to strengthen the Green Strategic Partnership and they would focus on renewable energy, green hydrogen and wastewater management. Narendra Modi spoke to the reporters after he held talks with his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen. "We reviewed our joint work plan for the Green Strategic Partnership. I am happy with the progress that has been done in various fields. A number of agreements related to animal husbandry, green shipping, water management, cultural exchange have been inked" told Narendra Modi.

India and Denmark issued a joint statement and the Prime Ministers welcomed to depend and expand the cooperation. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Danish Environment Ministry have been signed. A Smart Laboratory on Clean River water in Varanasi along with the Centre for Excellence on Smart Water Resources Management are inked. Narendra Modi and Mette Frederiksen welcomed the letter of intent for the same. They also agreed to cooperate on agriculture by a Joint Declaration of Intent. They also decided to collaborate on many other fields like antimicrobial resistance. India accepted the Danish Invitation to join the International Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) as Mission Partner. They also welcomed the International Agreement at COP26.
